This statue symbolizes a moment of transformation of thought for Mike, leading him towards a deep love for art history and Greek Mythology, and leaving a profound impact on his life.
He set eyes on it for the first time while living in the center of the old world in Rome, during one of his art history class outings.
Pushing the limits with this side piece, classical imagery stretches from the rib cage across to the center of the stomach. It was clear that if we were going to do this piece justice, the approach needed to be bold, powerful, and timeless.
